We are looking for pro-active and compassionate nurses to join our teams in the Medical and Surgical Divisions at Worthing Hospital. We have vacancies in the following areas:
Specialist Medicine, including Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Haematology, Oncology and Gastroenterology.
Accident and Emergency Department.
General surgery specialities including Colorectal, Gynaecological, Upper GI, Vascular
Trauma (both sites) and Elective Orthopaedics (SRH site)
Theatres, Day surgery and Pre assessment Clinics

We are committed to supporting and developing all nurses in order for each individual to flourish in their role, assisting you in developing your career pathway alongside a team of highly skilled nurses. We can offer you post registration training and on-going development/support arranged through our Practice Development Team. Additionally we have links with Brighton University and the University of Surrey, there are many opportunities to undertake modules of study at both degree and masters level.
Newly Qualified Nurses and Students
This is an ideal opportunity to come along and see the options available for you to start your career as a Registered Nurse. You will have access to a training programme which will help consolidate your clinical experience with academic support.
Rotational posts are also available.
These posts can be tailored to suit individual development in conjunction with study opportunities. Rotational options are ideal for those who want to experience a variety of areas and also excellent for those who have career pathways planned but want to add in some additional experience. We can discuss individual options for you.
We can offer full time and part time hours and can consider flexible hours including annualised hours and term time contracts. If you are unable to work full shifts, we have opportunities for partial shifts. A pattern to suit your individual needs can be discussed.

Return to Nursing
If you have been away from nursing and are thinking of returning this is an ideal opportunity to discover the options available. Our Practice Development Nurses will be available to talk to you about Return to Nursing courses. If you have not worked recently but are still registered we can discuss individual training needs to refresh your knowledge and skills.
